Summary:
This job is responsible for providing orthoptic consultations on patients; teaching ophthalmology residents; and coordinating the operational activities of the department.
Responsibilities:
- Perform orthoptic exams on pediatric ophthalmology patients including diagnosis and
treatment of specific conditions.
- Instructs ophthalmology residents, medical students, physician’s assistants, and allied
health personnel on pediatric ophthalmology.
- Provide patient/family education relating to specific conditions.
EDUCATION
- Four-year Bachelor's degree and Completion of 2-year Accredited (AOC or COC) Orthoptic Program, required
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
- Orthoptic certification preferred
