The American Academy of Ophthalmology would like to acknowledge society partners who have helped the Academy promote attendance via the Congressional Advocacy Day Partnership Program and the Advocacy Ambassador Program.
Nineteen subspecialty and specialized interest societies highlighted in the CAD partnership ad placed in the January and February editions of Ophthalmology (see ad below) have joined the Academy in helping to promote attendance at the 2010 Congressional Advocacy Day (CAD). It's not too late to register for one of ophthalmology's best kept secrets, Congressional Advocacy Day. This year, more than ever, we need your voice in Washington D.C.
This program, a partnership between the Academy, AAPOS and other societites and training programs to bring members in training (residents and those undergoing fellowship training) to the MYF continues to flourish. To date, 32 state societies, 7 subspecialty/specialized interest societies and several training programs have indicated to the Academy's Ophthalmic Society Relations department that they plan to sponsor residents/fellows to attend the Mid-Year Forum. We will highlight your society's sponsorship in our agenda materials.
